Alexandra Gatsios, B.A. Chemistry, Smith College

Alex was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. She received her B.A. in chemistry from Smith College, where she worked with Dr. Kevin Shea on synthesizing neurologically active small molecules. She then moved to Connecticut to work for two years as a chemist at Nalas Engineering Inc. Her research in the Crawford lab focuses on studying antibiotic-induced bacterial small molecules.
