Eric Partida-Trautman, B.S. Chemical Biology, University of California, Berkeley
Eric Trautman was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.S. in Chemical Biology in 2011. While at Berkeley, he spent a year in the Bertozzi Lab, working on imaging glycans in developing zebrafish. Afterwards, he moved to a synthetic chemistry project, synthesizing red-shifted azobenzene photoswitches with Dirk Trauner and Ehud Isacoff. His current research focuses on elucidating small molecules that contribute to bacterial pathogenesis.
