Jiyoon Park, PhD

Jiyoon Park received her Ph.D. in natural products chemistry from Seoul National University under the supervision of Prof. Dong-Chan Oh. Her research focused on the discovery of novel bioactive bacterial secondary metabolites through chemical profiling, metabologenomics-guided approaches, and genome mining. She has experience in chromatographic purification, structure elucidation using NMR and MS, and bioinformatic analysis of biosynthetic gene clusters. Her scientific interests lie in the logical discovery of complex microbial natural products, particularly those derived from host-associated bacteria, and in elucidating their biosynthetic pathways. She joined the Crawford lab in May 2025.
