Zheng Wei was raised in China and attended Peking University, from which he graduated with a B.S. degree in Biological Science. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he conducted research in Zhengfan Jiang’s lab and Dongyi Xu’s lab as a research assistant, working on innate immunity and DNA double-strand break repair. He also worked on NOD-like receptors in Richard Flavell’s lab at Yale University as a visiting student. His current research interests are in host-microbiota interactions. Zheng is now a joint graduate student in the Crawford and Flavell labs.
